Vice In North Korea



This vice documentary is all about North Korea this documentary tells us all about North Korea and Kim Jong-un. This documentary shows us that North Korea isn’t like any other country and you can’t break the rules and there is a presenter interviewing and asking people that live in North Korea questions.
The role of the presenter and the level of involvement wasn’t enough because when the presenter is in North Korea he could not go anywhere without a tour guide the tour guide only takes you on a tour where he wants to take you and he will want the presenter to see In North Korea only certain things. The presenter had less involvement because he couldn’t talk to anyone if they are fully sanctioned as part of the tour. The presenter shows that North Korea feels empty for example there are no car and no electricity and there is nothing happening at 18:24-18:42. This documentary about North Korea shows when the presenter is at a shop there is nobody there and the is only one staff waiting for a customer to come into the shop for a long time.

Techniques camera and editing shows some graphics of all about North Korea as the documentary shows images and videos at 0:38-0:56 all about Kim Jong-un and the North Korea history. The viewers get to feel the tension at 11:50 when the music starts to build up when the presenter goes to visits the International Friendship Exhibition. There is also included voice overs of the presenter talking about the exhibition what the International Friendship Exhibition is. This also includes a dramatic effect making it engaging for the audience that are watching this documentary. The camera techniques that this documentary includes various camera shots for example a long shots, close ups and a medium shots.  
The intro and outro how and why looks for exposition and the background story about this documentary is all about North Korea, about how the people there believe North Korea is the best country in the world and people think that they are friendly but North Korea isn’t also by saying how bad the America is the enemy. The balance of archive footage vs original footage archive. The original footage showed where the presenter goes to the exhibitions of North Korea the archive footage showed the history of North Korea and Kim Jong-un.  
Interviews who and their role the presenter interviewed people that work in North Korea. The objectivity is given in English subtitles this makes it easier for English viewers and this also benefit’s that is given to them to find out what’s happening in the footage. We are all engaged thought the North Korea documentary by displaying different effects and graphics and also including photos, music that keep us watching this documentary.
