Nellyville contains many different conventions for example 'Nellyville' the reality show uses  upbeat music at 0:00-1:54 to make the audience want to watch more of this reality TV show because it is fresh and upbeat and they show his family in the intro being cheerful and happy.

A make over show that I have chosen is called 'DIY SOS'. 'DIY SOS' contains a group of builders that goes to various homes that aren't done up properly to a good standard for the family's to live in. The builders main job is to re design the whole of the house from scratch for family's to live in.

Documentary soaps are set up  in a way to get more audience experience in a personal segment of an lifestyle of an individual person or a group of people. There are various sub genres in a documentary soap for example a TV show called 'Ace Of Cakes'.

The documentary soap TV show that I have chosen to talk about is called 'The Specials' This documentary soap  explores the many lifestyles of  five people that live together. That have learning difficulties for example down syndrome and also Williams syndrome. The documentary TV show is based on their real life's on what they do every single day.

The conventions that are being used in this documentary soap is voice overs of the people that are in the TV show. The voice overs begin at the start of the programme to introduce the viewers to the people who are involved in the TV show at 0:01-0:21. Another convention that is being used in this documentary soap is being interviewed in the show at 8:31-9:12. The interview was talking about whats is going to happen with his life for example Sam saying he wants to get married. The last convention that this TV programme includes is presentation of fact at 1:38-1:42 this has  and this is giving the facts fort the viewers that are watching the documentary soap from one person to an other talking. A review show has a main purpose of reviewing different products in a specific field. There are many sub genres of review shows. Review shows can contain interviews with experts opinions and also be filmed in a studio. There are lots of review TV shows for example 'Will It Blend'.

The review show that I have picked is called the 'Gadget Show'. The Gadget Show focuses on new technology by doing previews and reviews for new technology for example video camera, Blu-ray disc, mp 3 and this episode also includes the Google Glass that is brand new. The review show has many different conventions for example presentation of facts   by showing of the new google glass to the audience that are watching at home by telling them what is the features of google new product at 0:12-0:18. Another convention that this review show has includes voice over of the presenter the presenter is talking about the key feature on what you can do with the google glass at 0:30:0:37. The last convention that the Gadget How contains is the use of interviews  the presenter interviewing a person on the street at 1:42-1:47 by doing this it keeps the attention of everybody watching.

A discussion show is a form of interactive communication between different people that are in a group talking about one topic. Discussion shows are usually live and the topics that the people are talking about are up to date and have a current trend. A discussion show is always set in a studio and its not an interview or a profile show. There are many discussion shows for example Extra Time and Face to Face.

BBC Newsnight has lots of conventions from the start to the end of the show for example presentation of facts  giving facts to the viewers that are watching in this episode they discuss whether   Labour supports the benefit cap at 0:35-0:49. The discussion show also includes strong and interesting premise  by giving the viewers the ideas of which this topic is all about Labour. 2:51-2:54. A chat show is a television programming genre that can involve more than one person that are discussing a different topic. There are many different types of sub genres e.g. breakfast chat show, late night talk shows, late morning chat shows. A chat show is designed to settle a conflict between the different people.  A chat show also uses a live studio audience who provides guidance for the audience reaction.
The Maury Show is a chat show that solves volatile issues between  his guest and the audience members that he has on his show. The Maury show is also tabloid talk show. The Maury show is based on conflict on peoples real life and what the issues and how could they be resolved.
The conventions that the chat show contains is point of view bias by showing one side of an argument to tell the viewers if both of the people facts are right at 8:16-8:41. This chat show also include voice overs  at 9:26 by finding out if the guy was the father of the child. This make the audience want to watch more of this tv show because they want to find out who's the father of the baby. The last convention that The Maury Show has is editing montages  of the show. The Daily Show is an infotainment program which aired in 1996. The Daily Show consists of fake news. The TV show genre is all about media,politics and pop culture. The Daily Show is not a serious TV show its genre is comedy which consist of the recent headlines all around the world and also features exchange with  more than one correspondents.The infotainment show is aimed at 18-49 year old.
