Production Log 1

What progress did you make since your previous entry?

In my first week I completed the risk assessment, location reccie, contact list, call sheets for my documentary. I also filmed once and that was an interview with Professor of respiratory Chris Griffiths of the university of Barts and The London School of Medicine on Skype this interview was all about how asthma and the effects it has on its sufferers  and also what is his role in a charity called Asthma UK.

What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

The logistical challenges that I face this week was getting in contact with the expert that I am going to interview to  schedule what date they are free to have this interview  which will be recorded and what location would be suitable for them to contribute to this interview and what they think about this respiratory disease.
What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome them?
This week the technical challenges that I faced and overcame were trying to connect  and record a Skype video call.

What targets do you aim to achieve before your next entry?

My target aims to achieve for the next entry date is to start filming some of the green screen sections about asthma by including images and facts and statistics on how much has the UK government spent on the asthma treatments and to explain to the audience what is asthma. I am also planning to interview some more experts such as DR John Dickinson Head Of Respiratory at Kent University and he will be talking about how does asthma affect professional sports athletes on when they perform. And I am hoping to interview medical expert from GlaxoSmithKline Dave Bassi and I would be talking about the treatment and how and what are the causes of asthma, symptoms and the risks  of suffering from an attack from this respiratory disease.
